The average rider weighs 600 pounds on the landing side of a 4 foot jump. Most of that 600 pounds ends up on the stirrup bars. On conventional spring trees, one end of the stirrup bar is attached to steel and the other end to a wooden part of the tree. Force at this point can cause tree twisting and instability which can result in sore, hollow backs and problems with training. The Stabilizer's unique design reduces painful twisting on the landing side of the jump by attaching both ends of the stirrup bar to solid steel. Wool-flocked. Tree guaranteed for life. Proper flap position is essential to proper leg position. Conventional all purpose saddles compromise by placing the flap somewhere between jumping and dressage positions.
